I have been a teacher for 43 years and have taught from Pre-K through 8th, but my favorite grade levels are Pre-K through 5 where I have had the most experience. It makes me happy to see the joy on a child's face when he/she has learned something new for the first time or has that ah- hah moment when a concept finally clicks for him/ her. I like introducing new tips or tricks to learn new math or phonics concepts that will help a child learn. Teaching decoding strategies for sounding, blending and reading new words is rewarding as well.
