Greetings all. I am Sherry Majors. I have been an elementary teacher for 32 years in public education in Alabama. I have 15 years experience as a classroom teacher in grades 1 - 4. I taught in a self-contained classroom. Beginning in 2003 until 2018, I was the reading specialist for our school district in Alabama. In addition, I am a Reading Instructor at Athens State University. Teaching language arts is my favorite subject to teach. I love when students break the code and begin to be fluent readers. This is especially exciting when the students are struggling to read.
