Hey there! I am so happy to be a part of your child's education! I have thirteen years of experience in elementary education and have had the pleasure of teaching grades 2, 4 and 5. My experience spans from teaching children to read and add to preparing them for state assessments! In those thirteen years I also took on many leadership positions at my schools working as team lead and serving on various curriculum and assessment committees. Through my work on these committees, I became very well versed on what is needed for mastery. I was also the first teacher to piolet a fully collaborative classroom, something I feel was one of my best accomplishments. Through my years of working in the collaborative setting I have gained a vast skill set for differentiation and modification to help students overcome their obstacles, attain their goals and feel successful. Some other committees and trainings that I have been a part of are Leader In Me, PBIS, The Reading Project, Building Math Minds, Standards Based Grading with Thomas Guskey, Reading with Meaning with Debbie Miller and so many more! Today, I am 'retired" from teaching and spending time with family and tutoring, something I have found I absolutely love doing! In my spare time I love creating curriculum and classroom resources for fellow teachers. Although I have enjoyed the time off, I have missed the heart of teaching which is working with students.
