Bio
Staci celebrates facilitating individualized learning experiences that allow students to engage, ideate and inquire while meeting their growing edge and developing confidence across core content areas.
Most recently, Staci enjoyed a four-year tenure as a Second Grade Head Spanish Immersion Teacher at Avenues: The World School where her classrooms hummed with opportunities for students to acquire proficiency in language, literacy and mathematics in addition to actions and skills to make sense of the world with a justice-centered lens. Furthermore, she has over 15 years of experience designing and enhancing classroom and field-based curricula in nuanced learning contexts from the Bronx to Berkeley to Mexico City to Zoom. She has worked with an array of learners, from preschoolers to adults, in these dynamic settings.
Staci earned a Master’s degree in Bilingual/Dual Language Education from Bank Street College, a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and is an alumna of Teach For America. She holds Professional Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) with a Bilingual Extension in New York State.
An avid fair weather runner, Staci runs with the sun and looks forward participating in the NYC Marathon in 2022. She also enjoys listening to bilingual podcasts, fine-tuning her chocolate chip cookie recipe and spending time in her other beloved metropolis, Mexico City.
