Bio
I am a former professor of Education. Recently, I completed 5 years as a tutor in a program for struggling readers in Milwaukee. Our program stressed phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, writing and reading comprehension. We conducted ongoing assessments of student progress in these areas and worked closely with schools and parents. It's difficult to describe how much I loved this work and loved helping students find success as readers.
